The STEM Center, in collaboration with the SIUE Environmental Sciences department, offered a Summer Research Academy for high school students in the Edwardsville area. Students, ages 14 -17, conducted research on how different insect populations react to pesticide treatments. They will collected data, analyzed results, and presented their interpretations in a symposium. This Summer Research Academy was free for students. Sessions will began at 9:00 am and ended at 3:30 pm. Students provided their own transportation to and from SIUE, as well as their lunches or lunch money to purchase food at the Morris University Center.
